To enable participants to successfully distil a complex subject into a short brief that will be easily understood and of use to a busy politician with little or no knowledge of the subject.
Drawing on the principles of the ancient art of lobbying, this course is a mixture of theory and practice. It is ideally suited to a company or organisation which wishes to harness political support for a defined project or objective and is not sure how to go about it. The course covers the information that a political brief should contain and uses actual examples by way of illustration. Participants get the opportunity to practice the production of a brief and this can be of direct relevance to their organisation or a live issue, if appropriate.
Participants will be able to harness the understanding and, if possible, support of politicians through a concise and easily understood brief.
